James Morton has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. While working at Doppelt & Company and Trammell Crow Company he developed a strong concentration in marketing surplus properties and bankruptcy disposition. His clients have included Best Buy, Office Depot, Hechinger/Builders Square, Kimco/Ames Department Stores, Long John Silver’s, Service Merchandise, Silo/Fretter, TJX Companies, Tops Supermarkets and Advance Auto Parts.
In addition to disposition services, Mr. Morton has worked with national retailers such as OfficeMax, HomePlace and VF Corporation in new store site selection and securing non-retail real estate, such as distribution centers and call centers, for these retail clients.
Recently, Mr. Morton has gained expertise in the national triple net investment marketplace while working at Terra National Real Estate Group, providing lease restructuring and special project services to Advance Auto Parts.
Mr. Morton has experience owning, developing and managing property for his own account.
Prior to entering the commercial real estate industry Mr. Morton worked as a City Planner.
